I’m a huge fan of Neocork as well. Granted, I don’t live in a very snowy/icy environment (apparently they get very slick/slippery), but my 15-year Alden experience has led me to believe that Neocork is far, far more durable than Commando.
It can be slippery on snow/ice no worse than leather in my experience, but that type of weather is what commando sole is for. My Neocork doesn't seem to ever show wear, I think it will outlast me.

I was shocked to see TSM's Ravello Tanker clear $900. Not shocked enough to not jump in on the pre-order...but shocked nonetheless.
Same here, my 2020 wad is blown! Lbvs!

My first pair of Alden shoes, snuff suede tassel loafers from Yenni at B+M. These are are a standard model in the Alden catalog but I had to order them because I am a size 7 EEE.

I've already got 3 pairs of Indy boots, but I wasn't entirely sold on Alden, believe it or not. It's not that I dislike Alden, of course that's not it. It was just that... maybe the Indy is just an especially nice boot. Who is to say that other Alden shoes and boots are as nice as the Indy?

Now that these snuff tassel loafers have arrived... now I understand why people love Aldens. As the rappers would say, awwwwww yeaaahh. These are the most elegant shoes I've ever owned. It's weird because Aldens have a distinctly New England style, they're not sleek like some of the European shoes. But oh man, the proportions of these are just perfect. The suede is beyond beautiful, I've actually been running my fingers across it from time to time because it's so nice and soft. The comfort is exceptional. I think I'll wear these to church tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone who recommended these, they are beyond fantastic. Like many here I have a lot of shoes but these are really outstanding, probably the nicest single pair in the collection.
