Faded 8's. Doesn't take much in this climate. These are 3-4 days. Will likely do more fading and send out eventually for Antique soles.

Yes, I love calf gusset tongues on shell boots. It still annoys me that Viberg doesn't do it anymore on their shell service boots.

These are great--don't see many of the unlined black plain toe boots. I had a pair of #8 unlined Anatomica cap toe boots that I loved despite Modified not being great for my foot shape.

I swear you end up resoling or otherwise modifying most of the boots you buy

It's more like they're stingy with unlined shell makeups, which Alden doesn't like doing due to the ease at which shell tears. Anatomica has essentially been grandfathered in similar to how BB was with their unlined LHS since they've been running the makeup for ages.

I also thought Alden didn't really do Modified for anyone besides a select few and Asia? Why is that?
