Nephews - June 1 has traditionally been our day to remember our late friend and premier Alden aficionado, McArthur.

For those who joined this thread after Q1 2017, Uncle Mac, as he was respectfully called, was a wealth of Alden historical information. More than that, Mac was a gentleman and set a lasting tone of civility and good manners on this thread.

Let’s all remember Uncle Mac on June 1, 2020 by wearing his favorite Alden model, the 975. If you don’t have the 975, wear your most similar model.

If you have a memorable Uncle Mac story, please share it with the group that day.

I have no longwings, from any company, but will wear color 8 in his honor. You are right, he was a true gentleman and even though I was simply a lurker during his tenure, I enjoyed his posts.

Wow, those look amazing! My pair is very prone to water-spotting but looks like yours is just fine.

They did when new but 8-9 years of applying Reno fixed that (finally).

LoL. I assume that you are referring to the pair of Whiskey WT Boots? I just picked those up off someone and they had an unhappy speed hook but we got that back to happy and now I gotta start slowly reversing the aging! Either that or I need to spend more time on my Whiskey Indy Boots, which are getting worn when they get their tap on the shoulder.

This was when I first got them and then shot them over to Bedos.
