Haha, It’s accurate for my pair 🤷
Chamois can color shift a little based on the direction of the nap.
Fair enough. I was wondering because I'd love some boots in this color more so than what I usually see in product pictures. But I'm sure it depends on the batch, lighting, direction of the nap, etc.

Totally. I think in essence tobacco chamois is a mid brown with some yellowish tones.

It's worth noting his look much less oiled than other pairs, which would account for the difference in color

I'll snap you a picture of mine later, but I felt that they looked darker in product photos and I was pleasantly surprised when I received them.

I kept picturing Viberg's mocha oil tan color.

Ealdwine - one in indirect sunlight and the other is being blocked by it. Gives you an idea on why you'll get a different hue based on light

I tried really hard to like RTC given how little maintenance it needs and how good it is for foul weather.. but I found the oil in the leather did a real number to pant hems with discoloring them with the oil embedded in the leather. Maybe a lot of others pairs aren't having similar issues.

Pretty much strictly a "wear with denim" boot for me, and haven't noticed anything happening to the jeans hem (or cuff depending on jeans).

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
