Well friends, it is with some sadness that I have to inform you all that our friend @audog seems to have suffered some sort of issue leaving his mental faculties in question. There is no other explanation for him letting these awesome boots out of his collection and into mine.

They were not the exact right size, and yes, as soon as I left the post office, I had pangs of regret......But there are other boots to be had out there, I will survive. Glad you like them, wear them in good health, my friend!

The pictures didn't do them justice. The gold stitching with the brass is really a unique look. Thanks for passing them on, they will be put to good use!

As promised, another addition to my collection! More to come in the coming days.

Picked this gorgeous pair up off the 'bay for not too much coin since they were mislabeled as calf... Just dumb luck when I came across them.

Gave them a solid brushing yesterday and a nice coat of VSC (let dry overnight) with some heavy spooning to even out the creases and some nicks here and there. Still need to dress the edges before they go into production. My first Tremont lasted shoe, but I think I've gotten the size down... It's a funky last methinks.

It's interesting that these are a 270 welt but the heel block is more prominent (and wheeled) compared to a traditional 270. This despite the base model, 974 being a 360 welt.

Whiskey shell balmoral :worship2:from what looks like a 2014 run. They've darkened a bit (or this was a darker whiskey run) since new but still hold up well from their original shade.

I liked my black Indy cordovan conversion so much, I had to convert my black v-tips as well. Originally on commando with a black storm welt, now on JR double leather with a flat welt.

It will be interesting when the all the Top 5s are done to see the commonality across the entries. We'll have to see if we can crown Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.
Lol... some of us have much more to work with than others. But that’s cool... do the five have to Alden? I see some have brought in non-Alden makeups.

These came out equally as a good as your Indy’s, nicely done. The black shell almost looks green but maybe it’s just my eyes.

thanks! The sidewalk is right next to the lawn, so the camera is probably picking up some green-cast reflected from the shell.

Those look incredible. Who did the work?

Speaking for myself, any list that includes a pic of you JC Cap's as well as those carmina tankers is well worth bending the rules.

Giggity! Those are nice. I see what @AJ1 is saying with the green.

I wish more of the antique finishing was toned down like your shoes. It really looks nice and I've always wanted to see a pair on antique and you've delivered... twice!
