Sorry I forgot to mention speed hooksThe Shoe Mart has one on commando, all eyelets
I would use a pair of pliers gently to close the gap. Be sure to cover the pliers with painter's tape, so that it doesn't mark the hook nor other parts of the boot.Hello everyone I got a question: the buckle from my newest tanker boot is off like this. How should I deal with it? I am afraid to just use force... Thank you!

Whiskey tankers, all eyelets, on commando (barrie). Showed up this June, and I didn't kick them to the curb.

I have had to do the same, pliers covered with some tape will get the job done.I would use a pair of pliers gently to close the gap. Be sure to cover the pliers with painter's tape, so that it doesn't mark the hook nor other parts of the boot.

Compressed hook is worse, as I find myself taking my pocket knife to bend it back into place, one slip and OOOOOPPPPS.....Same happened to me but just laced up as normal, applied a little force and spun back into place.
