Hello everyone I got a question: the buckle from my newest tanker boot is off like this. How should I deal with it? I am afraid to just use force... Thank you!

I would use a pair of pliers gently to close the gap. Be sure to cover the pliers with painter's tape, so that it doesn't mark the hook nor other parts of the boot.

Mad, those are looking just superb. Enjoy them in good health!

Whiskey tankers, all eyelets, on commando (barrie). Showed up this June, and I didn't kick them to the curb.

Dude, great trifecta right there! Looking great on all three fronts.

That is exactly what I would do if I received that pair. I have done it myself.

Strong @madhat , very strong!

A little late but the post on inventory inspired me to do something I have been putting off for some time. So here is the tally:

  • Boots - 12 total. 11 shells, 1 reverse chamois. 9 Alden, 2 Viberg, 1 Enzo Bonafe. 5 of the 11 shells are 8, the rest are 'exotic'. I also have 3 preorders, all exotics and one of the 3 is a chukka.
  • Shoes - 18 total. 16 shells and 2 suede (both Alden, I really love Alden suede, just love shell a little more). 14 of the 18 are Alden, the remaining 4 AE. 1 preorder for a pair of Black shells (will be only my 2nd pair of black). Unlike boots, my shoes have a much higher proportion of 8 versus exotics, which I'm fine with.
This is, for me, way too many pairs of footwear and it doesn't include sneakers, tim's or sandals. But I can honestly say that of the 30, there are only 3 - 4 that I could easily part with. And only 1 of those are boots (the EB's, unworn Navy shell Bal for those 9D TTS's that may be interested).

So at the end of the day, once the preorders come in, I'm anywhere between 30-35 pairs of what I consider high-end footwear. Geez man, that just feels like a lot. Oh well, as I remember one member saying, first-world problems ;).

Same happened to me but just laced up as normal, applied a little force and spun back into place.

I have had to do the same, pliers covered with some tape will get the job done.
