AE brown boot laces, $3.

I was going to guess AEs; I bought a bunch of their shorter ones on clearance for a buck or two a while back and they all look like that, but I didn't see any boot length ones until just now when I went looking for the $3 ones.

Thank you. Are you familiar with the 379x last? Is it like a Barrie or TB or in between?

I haven't tried it on but Steve at Gentlemen's Footwear explained it to me like this. He said that many Asian men have wider forefeet and slimmer heels, the 379x is designed with that in mind. It is full in the vamp area like a Barrie or TB while slimming down much more in the heel area. He said a lot of guys have to go up in width in the Barrie to fit the forefoot but then their heel is too loose. I believe he said the forefoot could be closely compared to the Barrie, not quite as wide as the TB.

it feels to my foot most like the modified last: some instep support, narrower heel, and wide forefoot. It and the modified are my favorite Alden lasts.

Great shoe. I have the same makeup (B+M)? Ended up swapping my laces to round laces and haven't looked back.

They look just like mine in regard to the eggplant coloring.

Speaking of Yenni, the Thursday afternoon PAC Indy boot. Don't wear these all that often, I think it's because all eyelets and no hooks, which is a really silly reason not to wear something.
