Walked the dog last night and had to put on a jacket. Know what means? Boot time baby! Broke the boots out of storage and arranged the rack so that they can assume their rightful place in the pecking order of things.....

These are my first pair of Alden suede, and I don’t believe they’ll be my last. ☺

Wear them in good health. I'm pretty sure they won't be the last (only) pair of Alden Suede, it's pretty addictive

This week, I hit a personal milestone: when I signed up as a member of this site 6 months ago, I only owned a single pair of Aldens (my trusty 15-year-old 994s); this week, I was able to wear a different pair of Aldens to the office every day.

My collection is still tiny compared to many of the regulars here, but I'm very happy to have hit this milestone, and I look forward to the day when I can wear a different pair of Aldens every day for an entire week (and then two weeks, a month, and so on).

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of scotch grain (except as an accent), but with the commandos and antique edges, that's a killer makeup right there.

I wrote to Mack and got an answer in a couple of hours (and am now on the mailing list for the next run of the Knight Boot); thanks again for the tip!

I like wings on others, just not for me. My only pair is the snuff commando from AoC and I have been considering these for quite some time. To me, that is one of Aldens coolest non-shell offerings.

I'm not a wing guy, but love scotch grain. In my opinion, those are winners, casual yet not if that makes sense.

OK, I know I'm almost 66 years old and that must be the reason, but I keep going to Adams "last chance" site and looking at the AoC-3 Navy and White saddle shoe. I don't need them at all, and would probably only wear them 1 or 2 times a year, but there is something about the white shoe with the blue accent that is "calling me". So the question is this, am I nuts or just old? Or both I suppose.
