Crew Alpine LHS single waterlock .. not flex, these are very stiff soles and I like them. Love the dark piping.. very solidly built shoe and well suited for rain.

Love that leather texture and color, would look great on a boot with brass hardware

Yes they are a different sole. Flex can be easily flexed side to side with hands.. not so with this single waterlock.. like I stated.. really solid shoe built for crummy weather.

Fishing in the rain was fun, friends son had his first fishing "trip" and caught 4 nice bluegill's and 1 small mouth bass (threw the bass back as it was small). Changed into Brogue "Dusky" boot for the evening. Something about black suede that is nice for an evening boot.

Waterlock is an overlooked sole, wears like iron, but feels like leather to me. Only thing I don't like is in winter, on ice.
