Super excited to wear these after letting them sit in the closet for 5 months. These are the only pair of non color 8 Aldens I've ever owned so they're special to me. I'm partial to rounded lasts like Aberdeen, but really enjoying plaza. Not.sure if this is just me, but in my experience Alden dbl oak leather soles require hardly any break in unlike Carmina JR or C&J leather soles.

Not quite as quick as AE, but definitely a better sole than most!

Those look great! Why five months in a closet?

Thanks. I was planning on installing metal lulu tips and exposed eyelets and speed hooks. After months of inaction on my part, decided to wear them as is with plastic toe plates.

Was at my local shop, Harrison Limited in Mountain Brook this weekend and noticed they had a few misc sizes from some previous cordovan runs. LHS in ravello and tassel in cigar, only sizes 11 and up. If anyone's looking...

Looking for a pair of shell whiskey Indy boots size 9. Anyone know of any available?

I'm looking for a deaf, mute nymphomaniac who owns a liquor store. Anyone know of any available? ;)

Squeak update: no that's not cocaine and yes it brushes right off. Squeak still audible but not near as loud. At this level I'm very comfortable wearing them to work. Since it's self proclaimed snuff week for me these have a few more days to be closer to squeak free. Bonus, they smell like new born baby cordovan :bounce2:
