Long-shot, but throwing this out there - I have a pair of Whiskey NST Boots on Plaza in a size 9.5D - Unfortunately, they're too narrow.

I'd be interested in trading these for something on a different last in a 9/9.5D depending on the boot. If someone has something of interest - feel free to shoot me a note.

Hertling is outstanding. FWIW ZERO vanity sizing with them, or very very little - so keep that in mind.

But as far as quality goes, they are super hard to beat!

Gustin makes affordable raw and selvedge. I wouldn’t call them “grail” level.

I do think they are hard to beat for price. Bravestar is great in the range too, but Gustin tends to do more “exotic” stuff.

+1 on Bravestar. Great deals and the fit is much better for me than Gustin. Gustins are frigging long! I’d also suggest Unbranded jeans for reasonably priced selvedge.

My gut says right boot looks better, don't know why, but it's where my eyes went first.

Friggin' Long is a good descriptor, so long I'm going to have to have them hemmed up.

I realize they aren't "grail" quality denim, but all I have heard is people gushing about them. I do like their business model, it's kind of neat. I mean I wait for Aldens, so not so out of the realm for me. Price was good, going to look at Bravestar and Unbranded as well, but really don't "need" more denim, but then again I don't "need" any more footwear either.

Right (your left) looks better in my eyes, as well as probably easier to lace

Well, the A/T Indy's worked great again this morning wearing to get rid of the additional 3" of snow overnight. I should have bought a pair years ago, as they beat the heck out of everything I have had over the years. Feet stay dry, traction is good, and once dry, can't tell they have even been in the snow.
