Recent eBay purchase. My first black shell and first NST. Very happy with these.

Well that's good to hear. For $35 I am sure you did well and looked in style while you did it.

To be perfectly honest, I don't see what all the "buzz" about them is, they are ok jeans but not a "grail" type of product. Maybe the more rare material, as opposed to this seemingly rather generic denim, is a better product. Not that these are bad, but things like only 5 belt loops, shallow front pockets and being about 4 inches longer than necessary........ I like the way my Target Selvedge jeans fit better.

There are some by RRL on eBay. Maybe not the darker shade.

Another one of those questions regarding fit. I have Shell LWB in 11.5D which are very comfortable. I also have a pair of shell Chukkas, commando sole, which are 11.5E. They are also comfortable.
    1. Is it normal to have to go from a D to an E when going from full leather soles to commando soles (rubber)?

    2. Do the six eyelet chukkas fit the same os the two eyelet chukkas?

The retailer where I live does not carry a wide variety of Alden. They do not carry any with the commando sole.

    Thanks for any guidance.

I’ve worn my bespoke JL Paris once to a Target. I went after work but probably won’t happen again.

As a follow up to my request for 35 inch blue laces, I received several pairs today. I went with the Toucan Laces I found on amazon. They come in a package of seven colors. They seem like high-quality laces and the price is good considering you’re getting seven pairs. I can recommend them.

Wedge sole looks like orthopedic shoes IMO. Pass.
