This particular one (specifically the right foot shoe) looks like what my pair of ravello wtb were doing at the flex point. I sent them to TSM but apparently they pretty much do what has been mentioned here, rubbing alcohol and water followed by some VSC or saphir products.
Does one do the entire shoe/boot with the rubbing alcohol, or jus the area with the "issue"?

Green for sure. Blue on blue, maybe.

Thanks! I am looking forward to checking out the look.

I think green and khaki pairs well with Alden blue suede.

Awesome news, thanks!! I will see for myself in a few days when I get it all in :)

Yes they do, and probably better than navy chinos as that could present a monochromatic look, unless of course, the navy chinos are a different "shade" of blue from the boots.

I haven't seen the boots in person yet, so I can't say for sure on the blue on blue! My first pair of olive/green chinos.

Aldens on the Amtrak in DC. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to stop at Alden DC.

Can't believe I got these boots from TSM second's. These were my grail alden boots that i was saving up for! I wanted the Leffot tanker boot but missed on my size in the pre-order. Looks like these will do!

Just a couple of small nicks like this hole in both pairs

and a small nick, but you cant really see it that well in this picture, nor can you see it afar.

and of course, my favorite scarlet letter tramp stamp to let people know these are seconds

Sizing question: So my other two aldens are barrie last in a size 7 which they feel more breathable and just a tad wiggle room. I got these in a size 6.5 and they fit perfectly snug with thick socks no wiggle room. If i wear thinner socks they fit perfect. Just curious - will these stretch over time? and what size would I be in the van last?

I would not expect them to stretch at all, though you might get a little more room as the cork settles. The holes on the back/heel are lasting holes - not a defect (though I often wonder if there's just one dude who does it his way vs. the other lasting guys - only one of my pairs of boots has them)

Congrats, and enjoy! They had a pair in my size but I was in the market for something else so I passed. These kind of pics don’t help that!

Shout out to both James and Brian. Got one surprise on the way. The other is a very well known model, aka LHS #8. Had to get some footwear in the picture, so some Quoddy boat shoes made the cut.

quick sizing question -
I've got a bunch of shoes in barrie - about half or more of them I've had to have stretched in the width to fit well.
but the others were fine from the start.
wondering - do you all think going from a 6D to 6E would be okay?
