I am by no means an expert on Alden shops in NY. But isn't AoM a "factory store" and Leffot a reseller?

I said I was no expert, and it must be true. I had assumed (and you know what that means) that with a name like Alden of Madison they were one. All I DO know for sure is both are very helpful and have great footwear.

I’ve purchased shoes from both and have been very pleased. AOM will likely have a larger selection.

What I've seen says not to use it. I've got Alden Leather Defender, but shell doesn't have much problem with water.

Sean, from Leffot, essentially told me I was wasting money to put any type of “defender” on shell as it’s so tough against water. It’s a tough tactic to take after the investment but that’s what I was told.

I would agree, just clean them and let them dry. Shell is pretty awesome for footwear.
