I'm looking for a really bad weather boot. Anyone own the stock Indy in Kudu on Vibram? I have reverse chamois for rainy days, but I want something to walk through mountains of snow in.

I have the JCrew Indy in kudu with the commando sole and it’s an absolute tank in bad weather. Wearing mine today actually.

This is what I use for my winter beaters (this pair). In the 2 years I've had them they have taken me through many mountains of snow and ponds of slush and they are still holding up well! No issues with wet feet and the traction on the sole is pretty good too. I haven't taken care of them at all except for an occasional wipe-down with a damp cloth (and changing the laces once the salt starts to eat through them).
My only complaint would be they are quite heavy/chunky compared to other Indy models, so I find they don't pair well with some of my more slim-fitting pants.

Perfect! I'm not concerned with them looking sleek. I plan to only wear them in inclimate weather anyway.

For what it's worth, I was separately e-mailing with AoM on another question and just asked about their policy for being placed on a list. Any shoe (cordovan or not) paid in full within the past 5 years will work.

On a separate note, I'm trying to decide between their natural CXL Indy and the chocotanker for my next pick-up.

Another Choco-tanker vote. Love mine. I do kinda think of them as a Fall-->early Spring boot, but they're awesome in pretty much every dimension.

I would vote for chocotanker if only one can be chosen, however in reality I would say you need BOTH.

I think that all terrain kudu Indy is about the most rugged Indy out there.
