AbsolutelyDefinitely brothers in insanity!
First post here but long time lurker. I am a staunch Alden fan, and have been building my collection slowly; this thread is a great resource for inspiration!!
I recently read on Instagram that Alden is discontinuing the “Hunting Green Suede” colour for their LWB and chukka boots.
I find this dreadfully sad because I really wanted to get a pair in the future (perhaps in a few years). And I was wondering whether this community has any insight into this. Is it unlikely that they’ll ever do hunting green runs again?
Thanks for the comments. I did run a search through this long thread for this topic already but couldn’t find any info on it.
Looks like it. I don’t see it on their site.
TSM does it on Aberdeen but that’s really it. Leather soles and tankers just don’t go together. Nowadays your spoiled for choice for a barrie on cammondo though.
What an excellent combo, boots look stunning.

It’s a shame. I have AoM’s Barrie color 8 NST blucher on double leather and love the look. Would like basically a boot version of this as well.
I love commando for my more casual styles (natty CXL Indy, snuff suede Indy coming in a couple weeks, earth chamois Indy, etc), but prefer double leather for most of my less casual styles (ignoring the whole “shell is more casual than calf” way of thinking).
C’est la vie.
Appreciate the words Dawg, thanks.
Another question for the community. Anyone have experience with longwings on the 379x last? Just saw a pic on IG and it appears as though they have a flat (versus storm) welt. I would love a pair of longwings with a flat welt but didn't think such a thing existed.
So sharp - in the casual sense.Different Indy day 3 - AoC Earth Chamois View attachment 1019282
80% of the time, I dress casual, 30+ years of 5 day a week suits are the reason, I am "clothing rebelling" now that I'm retired. So sharp - in the casual sense.
