    Boys,

The AOC-51's arrived last night. I'd been looking at brogued straight-tip boots, such as Vibergs, and was coming around to the style. Irrespective of their origin (I'm no shoe historian), I equate the style as a very North American boot (coming from someone who lived in the Southern Hemisphere, and never really saw this style before). When I came across the AOC-51's, they hit so many marks for me. Almond toe, strong horween shell, quality craftsmanship (Alden), blind eyelets, grant last, and a durable commando sole. There was a nail hole on the back of the boots, which took me off guard to begin with, but I got over it as soon as I strapped them on. It's a nice reminder of their handmade origins.

Is there a better feeling than strapping on a pair of new color 8's, and stomping pavement?

Fantastic boot! Grant is such a great last for a cap toe boot. The lasting nails on the heel are pretty much unavoidable but your reaction tends to be pretty common :)
