Not a bad option there . I have a pair of their Carmel shell shoes and it would match well.

That's a great looking boot. The laces work great with the antique edging.

    Don, killer shoes.

We need to make Monktoberfest a thing this fall.

    Perfect shade. Class act, @JSO1.

The 511 last for the AE is pretty TTS and less narrow than the Leydon version of Alden's chukka. Leydon is a little tricky. I've owned 12D and 12E Leydon chukkas and both fit pretty well. The 12E is what I currently have and it's very good, though I've tried on an 11.5E before and think it was slightly better (so Leydon is a little long IMHO). Alden makes a Barrie version of their chukka too, which is 1/2 down from Brannock and a bit wider than 511. The Alden chukka is slightly taller than the AE chukka and has better finishing/details.

The AE chukka is a crazy-good value-for-money though...

Thank you! It's a great shoe but I don't wear them as often as I should, that changes this summer.

I hear ya but some people spend all their days making belts at that price range - get one of them to do it.
