Boots year round but not as frequently May-September but that's mostly to give my loafers some prime time. I'll put away the heavier looking pairs like dark edge commando but that's mostly due to the look rather than any comfort.

Plus I drive to work in my air conditioned car, park in a below ground parking garage that's always cool, take the elevator up to my air conditioned office, then drive home to my air conditioned home. The hottest part of the work day is the few seconds in my garage at home. And Seattle's not really blazing hot either.

It's like I always say, life is good.

Trying to hit two birds with the same stone on this one. One of the things I've definitely let slip is my shoe maintenance. But that's the beauty of shell, it really doesn't require much maintenance. Having said that, I need to do better. I also have a really beautiful pair of cigar shortwings from AoM that I have never been able to get just quite right. The shell always seems extra dry and the edges are a mess. I am neither arrogant nor foolish enough to want to me like Mike, but I was window shopping at of Alden of San Diego, in the Cigar section, and thought, man, I can do a little better.

The only 'before' shot is a comparison shot I took last week when I got the Indy's. The cigars looked so bad I never posted it. The two 'after' shots include my favorite 'cool' shoes that I also worked on, grant-lasted NST loafer from AoM.......

Better, but still not quite where I'm hoping to get these. They really are such a nice make.

Shawn, they look great sir! Yeah, I have a very strict process now for inboarding my shoes, which includes my photography, even if it delays my initial wearing of them. I really love having the historical record of them BNIB. :)

Some light shoe-care on a Saturday evening. These are probably my most well travelled pair of boots, and I cannot get enough of them (even with the different colored toecaps).

Will probably need a resole after next winter, but have held up great. Now to go grab some brown cordovan cream from some of the spots...

Those are a functional work of art. I know some disagree, but I love shell boots/shoes with subtle and/or distinct variations in color. It makes them very unique and they stand out from the pack.
