They are much more tan than milkshake color. Milkshake would lean towards white I think, it wouldn’t be THAT redundant. My photos were taken under incandescent lights, but I don’t think that changed the color much.

Thanks for the input. I really like the color, whatever they are. They definitely look more light tan than the orange/brown of some snuff I've seen.

First of all, those look great in pretty much every respect - Congrats!

I use Saphir Invulner for my waterproofing, and it has worked well. I've heard enough good things about the Tarrago that I'd trust it too. I own the Saphir spray conditioner for suede, but haven't used it yet.

Thank you! Yeah, I think I’ll settle with the Tarrago. I’ll probably wait on the Renovateur conditioning spray for a bit...

If I could nail down my sizing better with the Barrie (or was able to fit into a standard 8D Barrie boot as well as an 8D Trubalance boot) I'd probably own a choco tanker (or be thinking about it) as well!

I feel your pain, been struggling to nail down my size way longer than is reasonable.

@jjschube - I like just about everything you’ve said here. I might have throne in a 2211 somewhere, but my only objection is your suggestion to avoid Alden oxfords in shell. I think you’re correct that conventional wisdom would have you believe that shell is not formal enough for an Oxford, but I think the 9015 is a must for the Alden aficionado. It is formal enough for suits imo.

Would someone be kind enough to advise where the best option is for placing an order for a pair of Cigar LWB's? Estimated wait time would be how many months....6-8?

Sign up for a theshoemart (TSM) account go to the Alden Rare Shells section, select your size and sign-up for notifications and you should get an e-mail when they come back in stock...They did just run them last year but It's worth a shot!

Nice shoes, beautiful color, my size - sh*t I just don't need Derby's as I won't wear them more than once or twice a year. But, I didn't know Leffot had a used department, now there is something more to look at :)

Yeah they just started this a few months ago I believe! Definitely an interesting place to browse for new shoes :)
