That's an incredible makeup congrats. Yenni is unstoppable! Is that barrie/ storm welt or trubalance?

    Hello folks.
I have one confusion and please share your opinions.
I just purchased one pair of NST boots but unlike previous ones this pair came with water-lock leather sole, so I am wondering if I should add one sole protector on them? Besides carpet I believe I will wear them more often on pavement.

    Thank you so much!

If (1) they are calf; and (2) the issue is width rather than length, they might stretch a little more. But since you've already worn them 2 or 3 times, they've already stretched a fair amount and any future expansion will be minimal.

OTOH if they are shell, don't expect much. While shell does not stretch, it does...adjust to your feet. But after 2 or 3 wears, you've already gotten all of the adjustment that you will ever get.

    They're probably too small, sorry.

I personally don’t add sole protectors ever. I think they throw off the balance and feel of the shoe and also make the sole feel less breathable. Waterloc soles like on your whiskey shell NST boots are leather, but treated with oil to make them more resilient and water resistant. I think you will be just fine without sole protectors.

And congrats on the lovely boots.

JSO offers good advice. Oiled leather soles perform better than you might think. @M635Guy goes everywhere in his shoes with oiled soles.

In the past, I put sole protectors on all my footwear. I see nothing wrong with it in general and it made me feel more secure on the pavement. But since I don't walk around as much for work these days, I haven't needed to add them on my current footwear. I don't believe it's an option on the oiled soles though. I remember being told the bonding won't be as strong on the oiled soles.

Tassel Tuesday! Alden cigar shell tassel. Wish it was Wednesday instead!

These loafers get better and more comfortable every time I wear them.

Not sure if this had been answered yet, but Leffot has had a few LWB spectator models in the past.

    Here’s one.
