After lusting after them for years, I finally pulled the trigger on the Alden Indy boots. I went with the 403 (brown Chromexcel) from The Shoe Mart. I went back and forth on these vs. the 405s, but ultimately went with the darker colored 403. I measure a 10.5D on the Brannock device, so went with size 10D in accordance with the prevailing sizing advice.

Looking forward to receiving them. These will be my first pair of Aldens. :)

Happy Indy wearing! The Indy boot (and the Trubalance last) are my favorite Aldens, especially since they fit my feet more comfortably than any shoe/boot I've ever worn.

Can't go wrong with the 403.

4 years old this month. Easily my most worn shell. Brushed, deer boned, brushed,Venetian, small amount of color 8 wax polish, dark edge trim touch up today and these babies are ready to eat nails again.

Those look great! My NST boots are my most worn shell boots, are 6 or 7 years old now and still look great like yours. I think there's something about the shape of the NST style that seems to make them last longer than other make-ups. Maybe the thick, heavy stitching keeps them from rolling/creasing too severely?

Ha, I feel you. I still

I still haven't worn my Whiskey PTB, from the recent Alden DC run, outside. Only around the house for short periods of time. The fit is perfect but I just can't cross the threshold:/

Just thought I'd show off the other pair of boots I sent to Aram for brass eyelet/speed hooks conversion. He has done 3 conversations for me and I truly impressed with his service. Non Alden content below. Still in my jammies lol.

Hi all
can anyone recommend a cobbler in the Philly area to resole and reheel a pair of Alden tassel loafers?
