Well, I don't recall anyone saying you were a thief. But there are those on the thread who would be concerned that 34 of your 46 posts simply say "up" and the others all deal with rare shell. Others on the thread might be concerned over your immediate move to claim honesty and to emphasize you actually have the boots. And still others may be concerned over your premium mark up. I will even bet you would be willing to accept Western Union for sending you money for the boots. Not everyone would have these concerns, but a few might.

Looking to get a foul weather boot (specifically to stand up to salty slush). Im down to the leather; deciding between scotch grain and reverse chamois. Anyone have any comments? I love the way scotch grain looks, but I am unsure of how exactly weather-proof it is.

Either scotch grain or reverse chamois would be excellent choices. Really different aesthetics so I would let that dictate your selection.

I have both and prefer my reverse chamois. I'm actually about to put my scotch grain shoe up for sale. It's really great leather but too much overlap with other shoes I currently have. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong.

Agree with JZ, you really can't go wrong with either. I own both and alternate between the two during winter. IME the reverse chamois deals better with surface scrapes and cuts.

Alden x UNIONMADE arrived yesterday. Super comfortable shoe with the commando sole. I was originally looking for a boot in this makeup but ran across these and the 10% off helped aid in my decision.

I believe that is the standard price for rare shoes. It was the same from Alden of SF.

I didn't pull the trigger on TSM LWB because of this. I hate to say it, but retail cost of Aldens have finally found themselves on the wrong side of the "value proposition" line for me. Obviously this line is different for everyone, and lots of people will/have jumped at the chance to own "rare" Aldens.
