Here are my 4070s on their maiden voyage yesterday. Other than the soles which are a bit stiff (expected), the boots are supremely comfortable.

Last night I did notice that the tongue on each boot had some interesting markings. They looked similar to this picture (not mine), albeit maybe not as bad:

Have any of you experienced something similar? I feel like this is a result of the laces rubbing the tongue or leather rubbing against leather.

Most of mine look like that to one degree or another, generally cleans up nice with some VSC or Saphir. Enjoy the boots.

Thanks. It doesn't really bother me. When the boots are on, you don't notice so it isn't a big deal. I just thought it was a bit odd.

Not an LWB, but these are cxl indies that are pretty much my foul weather boot. They're about a year old and I've only treated them with Alden boot cream once. These are natural cxl so they do show spots but that's part of the charm. I've had brown cxl also and that is pretty resilient to everything. [IMG]

Just posted in the Epaulet thread, per Dylan, that I'm looking to transfer my slot on the Color 8 Brixton boot list, size 7.5D. Not looking to make anything on this, just get my deposit back and then you can complete the transaction with Epaulet when the boots arrive. PM if interested...thanks!

    Thanks Pepper!

Don, those are looking good bud!

    Sorry bud!

    Thanks Repp, appreciate it!

Sweet. I worked with them to put this together last year, based upon the MTO that @sazon and @mcarthur . They had my 10.5Cs set aside for me, but the depot lost the name so Ed was going to look into them.... Super excited to get them, they are going to be sweet!

    Great looking collection there Prez!

    Very lucky! Looking good!

Your Color #8 Tankers are looking superb!

Looking good in your Snuff WT Boots!

You are looking good on your 403's!

Looking great in your Color #8 Cap Toe Boots!

Snuff WT Boots are looking great!

Your Color #8 WT Boots are looking superb my friend! Yenni regrammed you here... :)

Andy, your Ravello WT Boots are looking great!

Unfortunately, I would consider those both about normal. Since you are getting a standard model in a standard size, I would not hold back on returning them and requesting another pair. Of course, those will be minutia after about 2 minutes of wearing them.

Is there something wrong with my computer, or did you JUST post a picture of your lawn? LoL.

The Bananas are looking good bud and are getting a nicer color on them every time!

Your Whiskey LHSes are looking superb bud. My Natty CXLs is one pair and its never met rain... Sorry!

Killing it Henry in your WT Boots!

Looking superb, that is just a rad boot and looks great on that carpet with those slacks!

Wow, you have a very nice collection dude! Looking perfecto!

    -Mike

Yeah, the tongues get beat pretty good my friend. Thats just a fact of their sad lives behind the laces.

Awesome looking Indy boot. Good to see its character!
