1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

You're taking the same path I walked. Kicked a serious watch habit a few years back and picked up what I thought would be a more modest addiction.
I now have the 4 watches I really love and twenty some pairs of Aldens with no end in sight. Both habits share many qualities, endless searching or that rare item, most friends
and loved ones just don't get it, and hiding the true extent of your secret shame.

That's a fantastic speedy, my first was the original moon watch. The tankers are great as well.

I am at the exact spot! I bought and sold many watches over the years. I have successfully condensed my watch rotation to about 6 watches and I am completely satisfied with them. Compared to watches, shoes are indeed more affordable, albeit likely less liquid given my small and fat feet.

Looking forward to learning lots here. Thanks for your kind words!

Thanks, me too. It has rendered all other watches useless for me and it's my one and only. Saving for something now that can live in harmony with the Sub and not compete for wrist time as they are on opposite ends of the spectrum.

That's a smart move. It took a little while for me to figure out what I liked in timepieces. Wish I had your wisdom starting out!

It might come in time....haha. Took me about 10 years and probably 20 Omega and up quality watches. Liquidated my Omega collection to get my first Sub and have been though the entire Rolex dive watch line only to end up exactly where I started albeit with an updated version of my first Sub. How is that for Wisdom???? hahahahaha

    Right?

You can PM me if you want to talk about watches. We're gonna get yelled at here soon if we don't stay on topic. haha

Isn't this the progression of any hobby haha. Could just replace the watch brands with AE, Alden, and EG and it is now my shoe story.

I am not terribly interested in many more Alden but man every time someone posts the Dr. Jones boot I get pulled back in. I have been drawn to that boot for a while now. (or I might just buy a Thorpe lol)

On that style, has anyone ever made a shell Indy boot on Aberdeen?

    It says ravello like Cigar.

Is Grant TTS or size down .5 like Barrie and TB.

    Thanks.

I actually think that is old school Cigar that fades into Ravello...

This is yet another example of the darkening Horween color spectrum...

For someone who doesn't understand that, is that a bad thing?
