1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

@DustinM if you are 10E in Leydon, you are almost certainly going to be 9.5D in Trubalance. Leydon is a very narrow last which most of us here with a D width got to E. Tribalance is quite voluminous. Good luck!

Looking for a little advice on sizing for the J.CrewxAlden PCT Boot from those who've owned one before.

I have high volume feet and had to size up 1/2 size for volume purposes, but that leaves me with quite a bit of room in the toe box. Right out of the box they fit well, but I'm afraid as the midsole compresses and forms to my foot I'll actually end up with too much room. I know this happened with my Indys, and I ended up having to compensate to a certain extent by lacing them tighter.

Can anyone comment on their experience with these boots after break in? This is my first pair of shell boots and I'm wonder if this particular version of the Barie just may not be for me.

    Thanks

    Alright, alright...

I don't know if I should call these grails or unicorns.

Exotic no doubt and brand new.

    It's a boot, sort of.

    Thanks.

My experience is that the boot is TTS (not -0.5). If anything put a thin leather insole. I would rather have a bit too much room than not enough room.

    Plaza NST boots form Citishoes.

Stopped by the store last January when in NYC on vacation. They had this boot on display but not in my size.
I inquired about getting on a pre-order list. My name was put on a post-it note and I was told I'd be on the list if they ever did another run. I didn't really have that much confidence in the process and sort of forgot about the whole thing. About 6 months later I got an email and a phone call they were in stock. I didn't respond right away as I was buried with work. They persisted and tracked me down. So a shout-out to Citishoes in NYC for it's great service. This is an Alden retailer which goes under the radar but I've had 2 transactions with them that couldn't have been better.

Frans Boone has some in stock in color 8 & black. I've purchased both from them and 5 other shoes/boots and the transaction has always been great.
