1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Actually, what I saw looked a lot more casual/rustic - natural edges and welt, etc.

    Hi Everyone,

I was hoping to get some information on care for the leather on my Indy 405's. I've worn them for about 5 months (nearly daily wear.) The leather has several spots on it, IDK if they are stains from water or something else. They don't bother me a ton but I'm curious if I can restore the leather to a more even look. I polished them yesterday using tan venetian cream and brushed them for a while and while it made the splotches less visible they are still there. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if there are other ways to care for them and what they might look like over time.

    Thanks.

They'll fade over time - just keep brushing. Brush often - it's good for them.

Hey forum friends, I am looking to find a pair of NST, shell or black calf, preferably on a Barrie last. I have tried the NST on the Aberdeen last, and it just will not work for me. As I am EEE in width I will likely have to get in on a GMTO if I can put my name in before they close out the available widths. PM me if you happen to know of a place I can look. Thanks.

Looking good. Enjoy your new boots.
    Thanks Tommy!
    Lovely Milkshakes. Great summer makeup.
    Nice looking Cap Toe Balmorals.
Great looking LWBs. Love the Suede/Leather combination.
Great looking "Indy" Chukkas. It's a cool idea, but still not sure what I think about a Trubalance Chukka Boot. -Mike

For those of you who have ordered from Fransboone lately what has being the UPS up charge. I no we should not pay tax if its below $800 but those guys at UPS love to surprise thier costumers.

Having moved recently, I have been out of the loop for a bit. Most of my shoes are still in their respective boxes.
I needed to brighten the day today, so I broke out the OG brassvello LWBs.
They need a little TLC, which I will give them tonight, but in the mean time...

Very nice!!- these are probably number 1 on my want list. Even standard ravello LWBs have been very elusive!

The recent proliferation of Indy chukkas to be is clearly a way to get around other exclusive makeups. Other people have locks on all the Color 8 antique edge Indy variations? Then we'll do ours slightly shorter, and bam, you're in the ballpark of your desired shoe. I think this will continue to be a trend as the Alden world expands.

I'm trying to adjust to them too. That said, depending on how you wear them, they probably can be roughly equivalent- you have to work to show the tops of your boots anyway.
