1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Certainly a possible scenario. But not very likely...IMHO because many of the top customers already have many of the models offered or don't want the model being offered. I've turned down several retailers offers when a model comes along. I will admit I've bought a lot of Alden shell shoes/boots in the last 3-4 years. However the thing that's worked best for me has been building relationships. I call my fav retailers every 2-3 months and see how they are doing? What they are working in non shell models, and in general tell them I appreciate the service they offer. How many of us have actually told these guys and girls they are awesome and thank you?

This. It's always personal. It's never just business. This is especially true of small mom-and-pop shops. Everyone knows the nicest customers, and everyone knows the most difficult ones.

Definitely, most people approach Alden like its a big business as well. But they are, as they would say, a heritage brand. They aren't interested in becoming the next Nike. Their customer base is important to them.

Yes! Happy to hear and looking forward to your cataloged pics when they arrive.

The new whiskey tankers look great, I really like the shade on them. Congrats!

I picked these up in Ravello some time ago. One of my favorite boots for office weeks. I haven't talked to them in a bit, have they by chance ran the cap toe in whiskey? Or have a plan to?

Sorry to ask again...but did someone say a retailer may have some Whiskey boots available?

It's 14oz in Berlin. They have a couple wingtip whiskey boots. They are all E width on the 379x last. I talked to them this morning. They had a 9E but ultimately decided I don't love the last much and they were probably too big for me. Plus I got in on the cigar Indy yesterday.

Send them a email or call to see what they have.

I was fortunate to get in on recent cigar order myself. It was my lucky day!

@mdubs That is indeed a unique shade of whiskey. It looks a bit like a mild Ravello.

Very very different than other shades of Whiskey including my nst shoe.

Very sharp! Wish someone would do a run of exotic LHS penny loafers.

Don't blink, I think that there is probably a bit of Cigar to be confirmed in the next few weeks, since Madison got some and apparently TheShoeMart just did. I will caveat this post with the fact that I don't know of any particular makeups in the immediate queue. :)
