Here is a pair I got from the Shoemart sale recently. These are size 9E. The color and fit on these is great with some inserts. I am guessing a 9D would have fit me as I also wear a 9D in the barrie. Still debating if I will keep them or not.

And some comparison pictures with the 9.5D JCrew PCT boots. Granted they are not the same size but should give you an idea about the shape of the last. Not very exited about the shape of the last. The PCT boots look sleek next to these..

Yea, the last does look a bit funky from the top down in most pictures. However, I do like the shape from the profile and angled views. If you had one in 9D, do you think the fit and comfort would be better than those of the Barrie Last?

The fit and comfort is definitely better as the last seems to mimic the shape of the foot on the front really well.. However I am still not sold on how it looks..

PSA: Considering parting ways with my LWB fleet (Ravello, Whiskey, Cigar) in a size 9.5D Barrie. My growing collection has afforded me the ability to scrutinize fit and I'm afraid these are just a half size too large. If interested shoot me a PM. Will be on the market in a bit.

Planning to return my two pairs from the recent Shoemart sale. Just wanted to put it on here to see if anybody is interested in them. Just want to recoup my costs on these.

1. FD-1128 Color 8, Modified last, 9E (pictures in post 3531)

2. FD-45067 Black, 379X last, 9D

Almost went after the black ones myself, but the unknown last fit made me think twice. Just curious, was it the fit that made you want to return them?

@AMD500 It was as the shape of the modified last. It is a little too rounded in the front..The fit however was good on the 9D and I wear a 9D on the barrie.

Yeah that was my concern. Looked bulbous in the toe area...shame, have been on the lookout for some 9d berrie black shell plain toe boots...just can't get behind the clown shoe look.

I'm thinking about getting the Frans Boone snuff paratroopers (I love that they consistently stock E widths). But I am wondering if they will have too much overlap with my snuff chukkas (such a classic) and the Learher Soul CXL conversation boot that I am ordering... Thoughts?

Damn. I need a boot named after me. I have no legacy to leave.

It could be worse. You could have designed a boot for Leathersoul a few years ago, came in second, gotten nothing for your efforts, and noticed them sell the boot out over 4+ runs and even expand the boot to another leather.

First world problems, but still....
