    You're awesome! Thank you.

I think either the AoM or AoDC are for me. Full brogue, hooks and eyelets, commando. Thanks for the links!

Hi all, I wanted to do an interest check for the design below. Please shoot me a PM if you are seriously interested in getting on an order for a pair. This order will be through a trusted Alden stockist who I've worked with before on gMTO. This is a design @Burzan mentioned a few pages back and we are working together to getting it made!

    Thanks for looking!

It will be similiar to the boot from LS, see below, but with all eyelets

Just got my Citishoes #8 Tanker Boots, wanted to post some pics.

As people discussed, the makeup is all eyelets, 360 flat welt, antique edge, commando sole.

Of course you know you can count me in. [IMG]

Fantastic make up, I seriously had to debate whether or not to sell my Leffot Tanker just to switch to these. I decided not to as it would cost me too much to do so but these pics have me back debating haha. Congrats and can't wait to see fit pics!

    Hi Gents,

I just purchased my first pair of aldens (979 LWB in Burnished Tan) for work. I am looking to add a second pair to my lineup in anticipation of my 10th Anniversary trip to Kauai that we are taking at the end of may. I would like this pair of shoes to be something that I can wear with resort attire (lighter colored linen pants etc.) for a nice dinner in the evenings. That being said, I would also like them to retain some versatility when I get home (hence no white suede). Right now, I am leaning toward either snuff suede or CXL versions of the PTB or the LHS. I have neither models in any color currently. They might be a little to casual for daily wear at work, but would be fine for casual Fridays and weekends.

Which of these would you gentlemen consider to be more versatile?

^ Those all sound like fine models for what you have in mind. You can't go wrong so get what appeals most. I'm not big on PTBs and like the LHS a lot so I'm biased in that direction. Tough pick between CXL and suede.

I think the suede PTB might be the most versatile.

The CXL make up might look pretty casual once it gets a few scuffs and creases. The snuff LHS is pretty great too and quite versatile.

Kauai is the best place on Earth - North Shore particularly. Congrats on the trip. I have to say even at the St. Regis I'm not sure my footwear got more formal than nice flip flops. Maybe I brought LHS with me? I think suede a better choice than cxl which to me is a nice casual / foul weather leather.

Congrats on your new boots! Those are beautiful and the Plaza Last is just killer. Enjoy them in the best of health!

Congrats on the acquisition of your first pair of Aldens. Amazing how quickly they grow on you. Also congrats on your 10 years!

I would go with a Snuff Suede LHS no question personally. It is just superb, breathes well, comfy loafer. Also the medium color is pretty versatile and can be worn with almost any casual attire to business casual well. Of all my Aldens, those are my most worn. CXL is a heavier leather and won't breath too well in Hawaii.

^ Arguably Alden's best casual shell shoes.
