1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I have a pair of boots on 379X. Made for the Japanese market. Also known as the military last (I think). Very comfortable. I went with Barrie sizing (0.5 down from TTS).

Interesting, I had not seen it before. Guess that makes sense if its primarily for the Japanese market. Can you post a pic? How would you describe the fit? I know the Japanese are really into the modified last as well, does it have a similar banana shape? I ask because there seemed to be a lot of TSM seconds with this last in my size this time around.

    Thanks!

I have a comparison in some of my old posts in the old Alden thread. Search for 379X in that thread.

I've got a sizing question for you guys. How do the Camp Moc's fit, I can't find what last they're on? All of my Alden's happen to be Van or Barrie and are all a perfect 8D. The Camp Moc's keep popping up on the 8D seconds list and at $189, I think they may be worth checking out.

I still haven't received the 2nds email for 8.5D. Would someone on the list be kind enough to forward it to me? Thanks!

    Thanks!

About the space in front of the toe... there's a good inch of extra space, even though the ball of my foot appears to be at the widest point of the shoe. Is that cause for concern?

PSA: Size 9 (Barrie) Whiskey Indys on B&S. Well worn... but they're something like $415 dollars!

    Not my listing.

Chipshot - my thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife. I hope for the best

In my Alden news, I recently got my hands on the color 8 captoe straight tip bals (9070), which should pair nicely with my 9016 for business wear

I am thinking about adding a tan calfskin model - really considering the Alden 911 for both dress and dress-casual wear. Does anyone own this shoe?
