Last two post were the best of this week so far.
Here's an outside pic with no filters. Very close to true color.
^ I see a filter.
What about brass shell with black eyelets?
Those are great! How old are they?
I believe the first and only time these were ever made was in 2010 by TheShoeMart. Pretty sure all the Color #4 makeups were done in 2010.
These were made by the shoe mart in 2012.
We had a nice 3rd birthday party for them in the fall.
I'm in the same boat as you. I owned a pair of the flex welt color 8 dovers and couldn't do much real walking in them (I live in a city and walk 4-6 miles a day). I could definitely feel the bumps and my feet were very sore after wearing them for a full day. Needless to say, those shoes were promptly sold.
Saz, I'm shooting you over my address in case you ever want to box those up and send them my way for brushing and polishing. It's on the house! Turnaround time is a little high... say... nevercomingback?
Yes, absolutely. I was in vegas last summer and brought two Alden pairs: the leffot unlined dover in color 8, and black wing tip boot.
After wearing the color 8 dover with the flex welt sole all day, my feet were sore.
After wearing the black shell double leather boot, I was fine.
You can totally feel every little pebble with the flex welt.
BTW my new Longwings fit perfect and are comfortable! Got a compliment on them today ha.
I do want a sleeker loafer than my Rancourt Beefroll Penny Loafers now...a Van Last one..something like this except a deep brown not a Color 8
