Grant last from TSM.
Here's a pic of both of mine to help you decide.
Without seeing yours...that sounds like the condition mine were in when I sold them last last year. I got $550, I believe.
NST gets my keeper vote. Harder to manufacture, the hand stitching.. No brainer..
Re the Whiskey LWBs: On the one hand, I agree with those higher end estimates above. On the other hand, many of us have seen a number of eBay listings for shoes that are in "excellent" condition and with "tons of life" in the soles. I would not take some of those pairs for free...
Regarding the 2 number 8 boots....
I personally prefer the NST, but the medallion tip is a more unique makeup and might not be as obtainable down the line...
Ok, I know its not alden related but I am sure someone will benefit from this, while looking for shoes fund some Carmina Shell single monks on sale at the address below:
size 13E Cogniac shell
Sizes 10E & 10.5E Navy Shell
Here are some pics of my NST's after a few months of wear.
I actually ordered the cognac a couple weeks ago, and it looks like UPS may have lost or stolen the package.
Wow! Very nice patina! Beautiful boot Sir!
So sorry to hear that, they look very nice and even when you get your money back it will be hard to find rare shell at that price point.
Mine are 9.5D
Here is a picture of mine.
Nice! Deets on the trousers?
J Crew Bowery slim in brown herringbone wool
Looking great, B. Very sharp.
I have the same shoe but sadly haven't worn it in a while. Thanks for the inspiration.
