1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The only one I have seen is from their IG account and it was horribly oversaturated.

For shell yes, for calf not so much. We're pretty much at $600 for calf boots, so that's an almost 100% increase in 8 years, which is nuts. Reminds me of Rolex

Decided to reach past the shell today for some calf.
Brown straight tips on Plaza. The fit in calf is always a tad snugger than shell.

Haven't seen any. Visited the store last week, sadly they didn't have my size.
The boot was superb! On the list for the next round.

Although I buy them sometimes, I believe Alden calf shoes are a pretty darn bad value. For some reason, all other shoe makers have a significant price difference from calf to shell (think AE, C&J). But for Alden the price difference is almost not enough to not get shell.

I would just go for shell if I could ever get near anything other than clr 8 or black.
I'm having a tough time justifying a 7th pair of clr 8 or a 6th pair of black.
I get the shell shortage thing but I've reached the end of the line with clr 8.

Recent visits to Alden SF and AOM have resulted in no leads on cigar let alone
ravello. The reception my inquiry received was frosty to say the least.
I don't know how some of you do it.

That being said I did get on the list for the clr 8 Citishoes tankers.

Hey guys, figured this is ok to post because I'm willing to take a reasonable loss. Returned j crew Indys and have a 400 dollar gift card that I won't be using

Let me know if anybody is interested! We're the only people that probably regularly spend that amount of money at jcrew haha
