forgive me the question if it's common knowledge....but is there a place where i can buy the the foot balance heel? or can a cobbler source them fairly easily? i'd rather take em to my local cobbler then send back to Alden.

One of the Alden owned stores can get these for you.

The two Alden stores referenced in the post above are Alden of San Francisco and Alden of Washington DC (the others are all stockists). You can also email Alden at online@aldenshoe.com

got my innsbruck nattys back from role club. the resole took 28 days exactly.

great work. much more comfortable than the wispy commando soles that they came with. heavier though.

Any details on the sole?

Anyone have pics of the black Indy boots with some real wear? I’m finding it surprisingly hard to find any. Thanks!

definitely not a common color at all. there are some on IG...but 95% of the boots there are brand focking new.

you got me thinking....black indys with the red neoprene sole or some nice white half soles from RC would be pretty slick IMO.

Hi all. i have 2 pairs of Indys...same size...but drastically different fit.

my first ever pair of 403s fit like a glove and are very comfortable.

my 2nd pair is a pair of epaulet innsbrucks in natural CXL with the commando light soles. they have since been re-soled with Role Club half soles. this pair has tons of extra volume in it for some reason. i held out for 3 years w/o adding an insole but finally added some spenco green comfort soles, their slimmest model. the fit is now snugged up a bit but i'm sure the upper will relax/mold to new foot position.

anyone else ever experience a drastically different fit b/w virtually same size boot?

You might try the full Alden thread, but my answer to the question is "No" - if fit is that different, it's a lasting problem or some other issue (mislabeled size, etc.).

Anybody here buy their Indys true to size?
i currently have 2 pairs but have had maybe 4 pairs total over the past 10 years or so. i sized a full size down from my casual shoes (ie vans old skool).
