    Nominating myself.

Long story short: Found a J. Press blazer in the middle of nowhere Ohio. Pick it up and find a bag full of gold jewelry in the pocket. Turn it in to a worker there. Lets me have a piece of jewelry for being honest and turning them in. Take these 22k gold 1882 $5 coin cufflinks. Sold them for $826 on the bay which was seriously good timing for a study abroad trip I took this summer.

I nominate this, hoping for some more pics of it!

If I may, I'd like to submit two nominations for myself.

The first would be the pair of recent Isaia suits I pulled out of a grimy thrift. Would it be appropriate for me to submit them as a single nomination since they were found together on the same rack, same brand, same donor? One is navy, the other is a light gray windowpane. Both were dual vent, working cuffs with flat front trousers. The windowpane suit is super 170's. I paid a total of $23 for these bad boys. I just had to have the cuff slightly altered on one suit, other than that they were in absolute mint condition. I haven't listed them for sale yet, but I expect the reward to be handsome:

The second nomination would be the bespoke Huntsman sport coat I found that flipped for $446. I paid $10 (plus a reweaving investment). Dual vent, ticket pocket, working cuffs.

There are a few finds I remember from other members that will most likely get my vote, but, I found a couple of worthy contenders I'll submit, if for no other reason than to contribute to a reflection back on some of the years best pulls:

James Bond's Brioni linen jacket from Die Another Day
It was made for Pierce Brosnan's Stuntman. Paid $35, a pretty standard amount for anything recognized as better quality at the particular thrift store I found it. At the time of original posting, I didn't mention the Bond origins as I hadn't yet made the connection to what the tag meant.

    Kiton cashmere overcoat
Submitting if for no other reason than it's Kiton, and it's a lot of cashmere. Paid $20.

I take it my Yohji haul in May wouldn't count as it was more than one piece. Here's my single best find this year. Well, no - I can't say that because I didn't pull it off the rack. My wife did! I was flipping through the suit/sportcoat racks and she walks over to me holding this and said "Hey, this is a really nice coat!" I was not aware of her eye for quality and figured it was London Fog or something so I said "Oh.... wow....cool....that's nice." and kept flipping through the suits. She then said "Did you see who made it?" while flipping the jacket open. I saw it and just about died.

NWOT Brioni Wool/Cashmere Storm System overcoat. Right pocket still basted shut. Horn buttons and stunning horn belt buckle. Likely one of the best things I've ever bought from a thrift.

Hung onto this since about June. Finally coat season is here so it'll make it's debut on the 'bay tonight.
