I am Chris Hoy.
Anyone know why you can't watch the track and field events online at NBC? I want to catch the bolt race and it just says "completed"
Yeah I think they won't let you see replays of the stuff they are showing in prime time. Lame.
Good heavens last night was fantastic for track. Bolt was a monster. Richards-Ross finally ran a smart 400, too - I think I enjoyed that race more than the 100, actually.
It was wild to watch her relax like that on the back straight. Must be hard to do.
I was happy to see Andy Murray break through.
Well, since Bill Bowerman coached at Oregon, that's been the model of running the 400: float on the back straight - kick through the turn and finish. But when you're under the lights, the crowd's cheering, and you know it's only 49-50 seconds of hell, and you see people gaining on you...yeah.
I pretty much held my breath during that race.
Same, it was an awesome race.
She displayed some real discipline.
Is it just me, or are there a whole lot of attractive female track athletes? I think I would have smashed just about every one of the women's 100m finalists.
synchronized swimming has somehow made its way onto my Olympic feed. I actually have never stopped to really watch this before because I just assumed that it was just too stupid to be watchable.
well, I was dead wrong. it is 1000x stupider than what I imagined. it is so stupid that I am ashamed to be human because it means that I'm of the same species as whoever created this abomination
BTW, did anyone see that women's water polo match?
OMFG that Italian hole set was a fucking B R U I S E R
I played in HS and a little in college and it was not terrifically uncommon to play a team that had a girl or two on it. We used to always joke about a few of them and call them "jungle woman" but it was usually because the refs let them slide on nail check and you'd come out of the game looking like you'd gone a few rounds with a big cat. But jesus that Italian chick was a monster.
EDIT: Here you go, I found an image. You may not want to click on this.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
I'm surprised she could float, let alone swim!
What a game. Almost felt like Federer just gave up toward the end
Fat is less dense than bone or muscle, so that fat is actually an advantage, especially since her job is to clog up the area in front of goal.
The four p's of the 400m (which apply to each 100m of the race): push, pace, position, pray.
Separate names with a comma.
