Decanting is sort of like the adult version of pouring vodka through your Brita filter.
Thought you guys would enjoy this. Screw my Laphroig and Macallan, I'm jumping on this pre-order now!
Keeping these for future reference. Gotta love Tequlia, although I usually just go for a margarita since I know how to make that.
Brunello needs to be at least 12.5%. And yes, lately (2004 onwards) it's been a great time for brunello!
I'm curious what are some of the producers available in the us, is there any of those I listed?
Pretty much this + store them horizontally so the wine soaks the cork, preventing it to dry out and letting air pass through it.
Gonna try an '07 Barolo later this week with some dry aged steaks.
I got a handle of bailey's for $20 somehow and have been drinking white russians all week. It's been a good week.
Whatever it is may be good but it ain't a White Russian if you're using Bailey's....
Eh I think it's better with Kahlua too but it works
If you like gin you owe it to yourself to try No. 3. I made the mistake of leaving my bottle at a friend's place one night, it was all gone by the next day . This blog has a lot of really interesting recipes: http://measureandstir.com. Haven't tried any yet myself but they look damn good. Is anyone going to the Manhattan Cocktail Classic? Also I don't understand what is ungentlemanly about all of this, although I am guilty of broing out and doing bombshots every now and then.
Do not recommend. If you want to drink something young that is an italian powerhouse - go for a brunello instead from 07.
out on a date last night i had a vodka on the rocks after not eating much for dinner.
was able to sip it just fine.
this morning i felt totally un-hungover, if just slightly groggy.
Almost made up for the fact that the date totally blew.
One drink does not get one hungover.
Not even 100 lb girls get hungover with 1 drink.
I was actually considering it, but tickets are pretty expensive. Kinda wanted to check out the "Meat Your Maker" Bourbon and Butchery event. In small room, mix one part bourbon, one part meat cleavers, shake vigorously. Sold out though. Have you been before?
Slightly related, I had a really good Manhattan the other night at Lovely Day in NYC. I always like their drinks.
