1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I emailed Mauro about these and this is what he said:

They are starting to ship to me next week. I send out a newsletter
about it. The Christmas break slowed everything down.

I love it when you post pics!

    UPDATE-

I received an email today saying the wool pants were suppose to ship this week. I am skeptical but will remain hopeful. Once I receive and invoice then I know everything would have shipped. They are shipping in groups. Meaning each fabrication will be shipped once complete. So that means some people might receive their trousers before others. With this fucked up weather the people who bought the gray flannel will be thanking themselves.

I received shipping confirmation. A lot of the trousers shipped.

I also put the deposit down for all the shoes.

Here how this will play out. I have 9 sample shoes that I will pass out to the 9 people that emailed me that wanted to be shoe testers ( do not email it's closed now), but before they are passed out I am having a photographer take amazing shoots of the shoes so we can make a lookbook. Then I will ship out the shoes to the testers. I will then start pre-selling them to everyone not just rewards members.
Rewards members will just get their special deal which I will cover in the next newsletter.
I want to keep the ordering time to two weeks. After I close the pre-orders I will submit the actual quantity to the factory . Once submitted production will take 60 days.
The factory I am using is one of if not the best sneaker makers in Italy. They do work for Hogan, Tod's, D&G, Valentino, and many more. They're very professional and punctual. The owner of the factory is a friend and has really helped me understand the shoe business. Hopefully you will find that the WvG exceed what you are looking for in a luxury sneaker.

    Best,

    Mauro

Hidden Rivets sewn very smooth and straight.

Out corner pocket shot to show sewing

Tailored belt loops with proper bar tacking . Not the rise or height of the loops. It's made this way so the fades are more prominent with time and you will get a raised 3-D look

reinforced button with siding piping for looks.

"F" stitch for "Farinelli" all thread is very mute so nothing stands out just a good solid jean
    [IMG]

Again, navy bar tack with a little nifty design.

The jean will be rinsed just enough to get rid of shrinkage but not enough so you can't get your fades.

The new (or maybe I should call them "newer" by this point) short sleeve tees fit the same as old tees, right? I'm wearing a small of the old rollnecks right now, and it's the best fitting tee I own...if the new smalls will fit the same, I'm gonna buy like 5 of em this weekend.

Yeah, first with the suiting and trousers and now with the ties and pocket squares, it seems like WvG really needs an CM connection. Aren't there some Italian shirting fabrics coming down the pike, too? I feel like Italy:CM as Japan:SW&D.

Ties look good! Will they come in different widths? I didn't pick up any of the suits on sale even though I'm sure they're spectacular because the lapels were a bit too narrow for my liking. Give us the option of 3.5"+ wide ties and I'm in for sure.
