My first WvG shirt, love it!

use distilled water. don't keep the steamer filled, only fill it with what you need when you are using it.
I use the Jiffy travel steamer. Had it at least a year and a half now, works great.
People talk about using only distilled water, but I have not noticed any problems with the steamer or my clothes using just tap water.
Some tap water in some places I would not use (Las Vegas, good lord, or maybe if you have hard water, but that's not science and don't quote me on it) but if you have good water it's probably OK.
it's highly dependent on the mineral content of your water. even if you have a low mineral content, they can buildup in the machine over time, resulting in periodic bursts of nasty brown water onto your clothes.
distilled water is cheap and lasts a long time.
^ thanks Bill Nye.
i use the steamfast from amazon for like 50 bucks ... works great
As mentioned in the Epaulet thread, hang your shirt and/or pants in the bathroom while you shower, especially if you like hot showers. not like in the shower with you, but like next to the shower, on the towel rack, etc. Works like a charm for me and quite a few others, and doesn't require any more equipment.
