1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I know a place where you can wait in line AND they won't give you milk for your coffee (because it will tarnish the flavor). seriously.

Good times last night. Looking forward to the party. Can we get a piñata?

Dinner was great and The Wingtip was a pretty cool place. The pretty bartender told me 90% of the things there were for sale (even some of the chandeliers). I had to resist the temptation to ask if she was a part of that list.

In all seriousnss, great to meet some of the gents. No one got too rowdy and took off their pants to show off their buttcheek tattoo map of Naples. So, looking forward to some real sloshedness today.

    Had a great time, guys.

Thanks for bringing O'Mast, Mark and Gianluca. It was so beautiful and informative. Among my favorite lines were one very humble (~"Attolini is the one who transformed tailoring and inspired us all. He is the Picasso of tailoring.") and one fairly proud (~"These guys are not only masters of tailoring but also of life."). I plan to get a copy for a tailor from Naples who's lived here in SF for 30 yrs.

Loved Wingtip, Ami. Thank you for sharing it with us. If I had a den, that's what I'd want it to look like. And if I had a robe... I don't dare to dream that big.

Lefty, I don't remember the tables at Credo, but the food was good and the quotes on the wall and playing in the bathrooms were interesting. Of course, I'm pretty into belief. Also distracting me from the tables were three lovely ladies (of maybe seven in the room) that I found myself sitting with: J's charming mother and girlfriend, and Mika from sffashionandtech.

On my way back to the W.

Just stopped in to checkout the setup of the Showcase. What a nice group of people. Everyone is so friendly.

Lots of cool things on display. Plenty to make any SF member drool. This will be a fun afternoon.

Off to meet a few guys for lunch at the Slanted Door at the ferry building. What a sunny and warm day to enjoy a view of the bay along with good food and Forvm friends.

The tables were concealed beneath tablecloths, sadly.

No Village People sightings yet, but we did have a fireman.

Will it be okay if I show up in sw&d attire tonight? Gonna be out in the city all today, wasn't planning on going to switch out for something too formal, just an oxford and an unlined blazer...

I agree, but I have a feeling we will see hundreds of pics in the next day or two chronicling the festivities. And I cannot wait to see em! :slayer:

Fair enough, but I was hoping to vicariously experience the events as they occurred.

Can't wait to see all the finely dressed gentlemen, with digital boxes, or blurring over their faces. :)

This event sounds great and I think I wish I was there but I can't help but wonder how these things really turn out. Do you ask each other who/what your are wearing? Do you ask someone to strike a robo-pose in order to assess their fit? Do you tell someone their lapels are bulging or their break is atrocious? Do you tell the real story on the forum? There are some strong personalities on this board and their online and real-life personas may be very different. I'm sure it all turns out good though in a "birds of a feather" sort of way.
