I personally find the GT to be a very attractive car, with it's only competetion being the CL. It was a perfectly well executed design created to move the marque forward.

True, although I always considered the GT and CL to be signficantly larger than the Astons. Depending on the Aston model, I always felt the Maserati and Ferrari GT's were more comparable. However as far as Gran Touring cars go, an Aston could definately be considered a competitor.

I actually don't mind this at all. Glad to hear they're keeping the turbocharged V8 instead of using a VW-sourced W12 engine.

Does anyone commenting in this thread own a Rolls or a Bentley or are you a likely buyer in the next couple of years?
I am not a car guy so I can't imagine being that interested in the design of these cars unless I was going to buy one. But I am wondering whether people comment on the designs of these brands because they are likely buyers or simply because they are into cars and follow cars the way sports fans follow teams (even though they don't play for them and have nothing riding on the outcome, i.e., because it is fun).

Im not the type to go telling people what I can or cant afford so I will leave that alone but I can tell you that discussing cars is a form of entertainment. Whether your getting excited about purchasing one, comparing what you already have, being really into innovation or just dreaming, it can be fun for all types. I understand it.

I'm a car guy and I'm a designer. (not a car designer but a designer none the less) so talking about cars and design are just things i like to do. I'm a Cadillac man though.

I didn't ask whether anyone can afford one or not, so I am a little surprised that someone who claims he isn't the type to tell people what he can or can't afford was so eager to answer that question.
