TF does 3/2. My suit is a 3/2.

[IMG] Looks really 'blah', I agree. While I wouldn't mind the single vent, the slim lapels look really cheap. These, in combination with the lousy collar don't do any favor to the overall look. I don't understand why TF used the slim lapels, in the documentary he mentions how much he despises this look...

Maybe this is a scene in the movie where the villain forces 007 to wear that suit. Effectively making him look sartorially silly, forcing MI6 to disavow and burn him. Ow, the drama...

I stopped buying Brooks Brothers suits for this reason. The 1818 Fitzgerald's are single vent

If you want to say it's unusually American for Bond to wear a center vent, that's fine. But otherwise, try not to drown us in unnecessary SF groupthink.

I have to agree. Some people are going to hate Tom Ford regardless. I've seen threads where they bashed the Quantum of Solace Tom Ford suits' "flashiness" with the big lapels, 5 button cuffs, ticket pocket, shape, etc. Then Skyfall goes the other direction and the suits get bashed anyway.

Yup, he does. I have his Base B 3/2s as well. Was actually referring to the pics above that looks kinda like 3/2....

thank god for the milano :D Although I have quite a bit of fitz suits. I used to hate single vents with a passion, then when I put it on and realize I can't see the back of myself I forgot about the vent. Although for some people it'll still always be on the back of their mind.

anyhow yeah, not digging the thin lapel center vent look of the new movie so far. I think what bothers me the most is the low buttoning point and short jacket, makes it look funny and his pants are kinda tight

Casino Royale and QoS were great. Love Bond's style. Hell, I even bought my avatars sunglasses, cutler and gross

I personally thought Craig's wardrobe for Casino Royale was immaculate. Wasn't as thrilled with Quantum (does Bond really wear 7 jeans...?), and this is just too trendy in my opinion. I'd agree too that his pants look a bit tight in the photos.

Nevertheless, I will continue to monitor the thread for developments, not to mention see the movie. I mean, it's James freaking Bond. :slayer:

This is a suit to allow Bond to run people down and kill them. It looks perfect to me.

    My.
    Mind.
    Completely.
    Blown.

Actually, I wonder if From Russia with Love is partly what Tom Ford is going for with centre vent, slim lapels and lower buttoning point.

For a second, I thought we were near unanimous SF-disapproval, so I'd have to throw away my BB Fitzgerald.

I guess everyone complaining about center vents look somewhat silly now. But "Skyfall" is still a silly name, unlike "Octopussy."

Jimbo already has enough problem. An angry mob all up in arms about wearing suit and tie with jacket unbuttoned would spell certain doom for this super spy.

And nothing wrong with the shoes. I like the last. Certainly better than any of the AE offerings.
