I have not been wearing much DB lately, for reasons of conservative business dress. Broke down and wore one today, by the MA&SEBT. Damn, I love that suit. Really nice and it shows how the A&S cut excels in DB. (Sleeve pitch is also correct.)

Tempted to just say eff it and get some more of these in conservative business dress cloths with belt trousers and wear them with solid button cuff shirts and soporific ties to keep the volume down. DB is still not conservative business dress but WYGD?

Help me decide the right path and also pick cloths that would exemplify this approach.

I think what David Letterman wears is probably CBDish. But eff conservative business dress: plaid drapey DBs are where it's at.

I can't go nuts. The enviornment won't allow it. DB alone is pushing it.

I think as long as the cloth and shirt/tie combo is subdued, you should be ok. After years of nothing but SBs, my last 3 orders have been for DBs. A well-cut DB suit looks superior to a SB imo.

Have you considered a button-down collar oxford shirt? I think it would lend just the right touch of conservative business dress-ness.

I cannot follow with all of the acronyms. I'm still working on FTW, FTFY and TTYL.

Thx.

So you're saying OCBD + A&S DB = conservative business dress ?
