Figured I'd make one since there doesn't seem to be one.

"Founded by Consuelo Castiglioni in 1994, luxury label Marni carved a space in the fashion landscape by imbuing modern classics with a quirky bohemian inflection, characterized by retro color stories and free-spirited play with luxurious fabrics and furs. A 2016 changing-of-the-guard led by Central Saint-Martins alumni and creative director Francesco Risso sees the label's codes invigorated with a spirit of irreverence and anti-conformity. Culling inspiration from sources as varied as the early 20th century Dada art movement, childhood memories, and the Japanese deconstructionists, Risso extends the Italian womenswear label’s sartorial vocabulary. Marni's menswear offerings weave in and out of traditionalism with staples such as pleated trousers and essential knitwear, while maintaining the quirky vision of its founder through with offbeat graphic tees and vibrant patchworks. Classic shirting is elevated with relaxed silhouettes, playful striped fabrics, and abundant check patterns. Wool coats and jackets range from sober wardrobe staples to eclectic graphic canvases, while cutting-edge tech fabrics become the subject of experimentation by way of jumpsuits and various men’s outerwear options. Merging the the offbeat quality of Castiglioni’s vision with contemporary appeal, Marni maintains a mastery of its uniquely hybrid aesthetic." (taken from ssense)

Feel free to discuss, buy/sell/trade/ and more. Personally been into their shirting quite a bit lately as they're elegant with subtle details and great material.

nice, i was a big fan of consuelo-era marni. the coats were usually pretty good too.

there seemed to be two distinct trouser cuts: the volume-y ones, always in amazing proprietary fabrics, and then a narrow, tapered cut, more like that typical 90s prada look. ( i much preferred the former, you can get the latter almost anywhere)

i'd be interested to hear any possible substitutes for the former.. lemaire/ studio nicholson maybe? best i've found are margaret howell mainline, and rosen has some sportswear type ones that are not bad
