Since there will be few days left to wear the spring summer jackets as its already getting cold here, I thought I'd share this one. This is a Loro Piana wool silk linen blend in which everything is light. The cloth is light, the canvas is light, the shoulders have basically nothing in them. It's light... I also had it made with a quarter lining, in the interest of being light. The thing is, I think this will be the last jacket I make without a full lining. I cant tell a difference in how it wears from a heat perspective (I'll be hot, sweaty and miserable regardless), and I always notice little outlines or bulges from the partial lining. Anyway, bundle up out there...

WSL is not the best fabric to wear in the summer. Stick with 8oz linen or wool.

I think this statement is a bit too black and white. There are lots of factors, like density of weave, fiber composition, weight, color, etc, that effects how warm a cloth wears.

Also, lightweight linen is usually terrible and a waste of money as it tends to look like a used tissue within minutes of putting it on. Thats been my experience at least.

What I wore to vote.

This jacket is made to the same specifications as above, but with a soft (rather than unconstructed) shoulder and a slightly wider arm circumference.

It's been quiet here for a couple of weeks. Nothing new today except the shoes.

If you only make one jacket MTM, it should be a navy one. That said, I'm not sure that it should be your first, since an all-purpose navy jacket in a weighty, crisp cloth will likely show flaws more than softer flannels and spongy tweeds.

This was my fourth jacket with my tailor.

Went to pick up my latest order today, (3 piece suit). Pleased with how it turned out, although the pants will be altered and get turn ups. Did not wear them with braces here, so they appear slightly ill fitting (90s hip hop artist).
Excuse all the noise.

Lovely looking material.

Thank you, yes really like it and how it turned out. Original plan was thornproof, but I would have had to wait a bit for it, where as this was available right away. So. I`m not a patient man. Also lack impulse control.
