Vox's Tumblr archive is an incredible resource. I feel like he's taken down a lot of his own pictures in the past few years, which is such a shame. His wardrobe could be in a museum.

This is probably the most interesting pocket style I've seen

Iโ€™m thinking of drawing up some sketches to have a western sport coat done up. Similar, curved jetted pockets with a western yoke on the shoulders and the western piping on the cuffs.

Somewhat tempted to have three box pleats on the back like that baller from the Darius Rucker Wagon Wheel music video.

Nudie-influenced embroidery still remains undecided.

I'm already hype, this sounds fascinating. If it's possible and okay with you, definitely post these sketches if you end up doing them!

@Despos perfection! thank you for sharing these man, they both look amazing.
Thank you very much. The brown is a London Lounge cloth.
Making a vest from this cloth for the same client.
The grey is a faux tweed from Ariston from previous years. The pictures donโ€™t show the nuance and mottled colors in the cloth. Made at least 6 jackets in the grey. One client bought two of them because he liked it so much.
Have a few more western jackets and suits in work

Well that was quick.

Sketch looks great too. Both Despos' jacket and your sketch look visually interesting, but not overly busy in terms of details, and both are balanced in terms of silhouette.

With the western yoke on the back, I think a single reverse pleat leading from the point would look great. 3 pleats is cool, but would definitely make the jacket more out there and busy. If that's what you want, then go for it.

Here is an article with a bunch of different configurations regarding action backs, belt backs, pleated backs etc.

ctrl+f for "belt back" for the pictures.
