Even worse, when I answered her 'what does a teen know', I got an 'ok boomer' ...
Thanks God, last time mine called me like that i told her i was not a "Boomer" but a "Generation X". Now i have to say i am lucky as i was born in 1965, and the Boomer era stops in 1964...

Ok Boomer ? Ooops i mean Luigi.
(Now frankly you dress like a Boomer indeed ! :-D)

Don't claim safe too soon, my friend. For teenage daughters they are all synonims for 'old fart' - that's how we dress in their opinion.
Their idol is Harry Styles ...

I know we're not High Street shoppers here - I began to struggle 20 years ago - but no talk on the demise of Burton, Topman and Debenhams? That's a big yawning gap that's opened up, in more ways than one.

I don't think M&S was arse raped by private equity or a billionaire so I reckon it will survive though I've not been in there for a few years.
I thought about this at the weekend when I went in to pick over the carcass of my local Debenhams.
The concession system just seems to create a whole bunch of collections of very similar stuff catering to the same age groups and average sizes competing with each other. Very occasionally I have seen something which appeals, but only rarely. The bigger stores in places like Brum seem to just offer even more of the same.
I have seen more real choice in some of the small department stores in more isolated market town in e.g. Northumbria and Herefordshire.

The only thing which I bought was a pair of jeans. There was just nothing else of interest.

That is one seriously ugly woman Luigi

There are no distinct looks anymore - across time (fashion) or across distance (tradition) or between classes (formality) - and without difference there is no space to trade something new between them.

I guess that's why 'Harry Styles' is dressed as a woman

You may have done @Luigi_M but it's great to see it. Very nice fit on you and I would be curious to see it with the top button undone.

I wore my DAKS pinstripe suit last week, which is less closely aligned with the Look but also has a nice fit. Also got out the Grenfell for the first time this season.

Mrs K hadn’t been well - not COVID - and put her ghostly head round the door in her tartan dressing gown just at the critical moment. I knew that the Inspector would spot it?

Too bad; I hope the misses gets well. Mine has been putting up with me and my Covid-infected carcass for the last two weeks. I think she’d convert to Catholic if God would just get me out of the house ?

Haha, yup! Thanks Mr. K. Just about there— quarantine almost over and then for some much needed fresh air and exercise!

in The Look Goes On™department, it’s been navy J. Crew chinos, a robin’s egg blue Albam sweatshirt, white smartwool socks, and burgundy Weejuns while loafing around the house feeling cruddy. Maybe a bit of inadvertent Keith Moon/Great Escape era McQueen chic going on. ?

On the subject of being a Catholic, it's ****. Will let all know in due time once the courts have done their due diligence.
