Phew, thought I'd missed something. Looks good, any chance of close up pics and pics of labels too?
No labels to speak of. Just signature lining. Im informed its cashmere and wool rather than the other way round. More grenadine coloured than camel
You've done me Skinny, wear it well!
Sorry, will have to say no to that time.Have a Radio Show from 9am until Midday so I would not get into Town ,for that time.
Silvermans Mile End. Looks better on than in the catalogue. Great pockets and good for hot weather.
Night boat to Cairo
You do not have to buy the pith helmet as well.
Quote:Thanks Kingstonian I've just ordered one!
Don Estelle chic!
Or maybe the six million dollar man
The Greycoat looks like a winner. Saying that you could only wear it if you were in comparatively good shape. If you were a fat sod some might see it as an insult to the Marines
LOL. Mrs K has already damned it as Harry Hill-like on account of the biggish collar but I think it's bloody good eh what?!
It is not a stand up collar though. Strong material and great pockets .
Could be a bit Roger Moore, but he tended to have a full tailored safari suit.
A bit Alan Whicker too.
I went to the shop to buy mine. Fascinating place - people buying all sorts for expeditions.
I wore mine today for a short outing. I kept it on while driving and almost forgot I had a jacket on! Lounging around waiting for my car to have a small repair it just seemed so cool and comfortable and the fit is spot on for me. I guess you have to be a little careful about what you team it with so as not to look too much like Don Estelle / Roger Moore etc. but today worn with a PRL ocbd, jeans and Florsheim Yuma loafers it looked and felt 'just right'.
I must visit the shop. I was googling the shop last night and trying to find out about their Royal Warrant (which I'm not sure is current?) and I found a fascinating Japanese blog featuring Silverman's:
One item of military wear Im fond of is submariners jumpers- like the one the German U Boat Captain had on in the Dads Army episode. Don't. tell him Pike!
