I can't remember when I started noticing that some denim looked different. 10 years ago? 20 years ago? Who knows, maybe 30. I'm an old guy. I started noticing that it didn't look right. I first thought it was because it was some lower quality process, but I couldn't equate that to price because I know there are some really expensive (for me at least) brands that are ten times more expensive then the Lee's or Wranglers or Levis that I've been buying that have that, to me, cheap look because they have the long lines in them rather than what I was used to, with mostly no lines. I've never wanted to wear those jeans with lines.

But my brother recently told me that he thinks jeans with a bit of flex are more comfortable and after buying a few pair I have to agree. They're pretty comfortable and the flex fits better. Does all flex denim have to look that way? Is that look of lines always from the spandex?
