Excellent movie, terrible clothes. There wasn't a single jacket collar in the movie that wasn't constantly playing hard-to-get with its wearer's neck.

Does it ever occur to you to look beyond fit...?

Haven't seen the movie yet, but I want to. Just from the stills, I noticed what you are talking about. According to a piece in the L.A. Times today, they had bespoke suits made for Colin Frith while the actor playing the therapist was clad in off-the-rack tweed suits (not that I see many OTR tweed suits in my part of the world).

Yes and yes. That is an ill-fitting collar and would drive me nuts. Great movie though.

Absolutely. The single biggest reason I started paying attention to Tom Ford. But then Colin's lean physique would do well with any maker, no?

I found a Tom Ford in Tokyo which fits me like heaven, but turned out to be a half canvassed thingamie. That I have little patience for, especially at those prices.

I suggest an oscar category for best male suit collar given the obvious public interest in these matters
